ROYAL NORTHERN COLLEGE OF MUSIC 2001 – Present
Currently teaching Principle Study Singing on the RNCM BMUS Degree in Popular Music. I have worked there for 6 years and have been involved with the development of the module for singers that meet the changing demands of today’s Vocalists from the beginning. This course is suitable for students with drive and ambition who want to persue a career in Popular music/ Songwriting/Artistry/ Pedagogy and need the necessary skills to facilitate that. The Principle Study modules focus on Pop, R & B, Rock, Jazz and contemporary singer songwriter styles, incorporating Improvisation, rhythm and technology and encouraging individual artistry.

LEEDS COLLEGE OF MUSIC – 1993 – 2013
For almost twenty years I taught popular voice at the college and developed various modules throughout that time; including Popular voice, Keyboard Skills, Musical Theatre, Ensemble and Gospel Choir for HE, FE and Post Graduate levels and was appointed Music Coordinator for the Jazz/Popular and Summer Schools 2003 -2006.
SLP PERFORMING ARTS COLLEGE – 2006 – 2009
I worked at SLP College for 3 years in a very intense Musical Theatre Stage school in Leeds. Most repertoire was set to dance routines and I had the pleasure of working alongside many accomplished London West End Actors, Teachers and choreographers. I directed choirs for all years, taught sight singing and theory to all non-reading students and Supervised and assisted at many shows. Teaching included preparation for LAMDA, Trinity and ALCM exams.
JAZZLEEDS CHOIR DIRECTOR – SUMMER TERM
After developing the Choir in its early stages for 2 years, its now a pleasure to return to coach them during the Summer Period from May to July. The choir have just recently performed at Inkwell Arts Centre and the JazzLeeds Festival alongside Ian Shaw.
